The Drunken Song

Concert based on texts by Friedrich Nietzsche, October 17, 2007 at 7.00 pm, NYC

Elysium – between two continents in cooperation with the Leo Baeck Institute presents a concert featuring songs by Friedrich Nietzsche himself, his long-time friend Peter Gast, as well as songs by the German-Jewish exiled composers Walther Hirschberg and Leopold Spinner, and by Nicolai Medtner and Wilhelm Peterson-Berger.
The introductory lecture will examine the intricate relationship between Nietzsche and German Jews.
